This year’s Macross World Convention was held on Oct. 16 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Centre in California.

Lucky for DecultureShock, Anibal Delvalle Jr was on the scene and sent us some pics (follow him on Twitter at @DarthSithRevan ).

With Macross Delta being in full swing, there was no lack of cosplayers at Anime Expo this year – some of them even managed to grab a picture with a very special guest.

The Manga, Anime , Games 1989 exhibit at the National Art Center, Tokyo opened this past Wednesday and includes an unexpected surprise for Macross fans – a wall dedicated to breaking down the Itano Circus in Macross Plus.
The exhibit continues until August 31st, so anyone in Japan during the period be sure to check it out.

An exhibit for the movie 1989 movie GUNHED was held in Akihabara last weekend. Apart from the aggressive marketing push that it received from Manga Entertainment outside of Japan in the early 90’s, this movie is best remembered for its titular mecha which was designed by none other than Shoji Kawamori.

Unlike most exhibits in Japan, photos were allowed at this one, so I went all out...
