The Hakaba no Garo Gallery is holding a Cobra 40th Anniversary “Exhibit” from June 1 to 19 at Nakano Broadway. Unlike the J9 Exhibit previously held at the same venue, this exhibit is more of a pop up shop, meaning there was far less art on display but a whole lots more merchandise.

It was supposed to be a quiet Sunday morning podcast but then we kinda news-jacked ourselves from the future and well… it’s complicated, okay?

We visit the Cowboy Bebop cafe, watch Macross Delta Passionate Walkure in MX4D, hear a bunch of Macross 2 songs performed live in concert, discuss Sentinel’s new Mospeada Ride Armor and go to not one, but two Shoji Kawamori talkshows to hear all about the creation of Passionate Walkure and the designing of the Armored VF-31 – that’s right, it’s double the Kawamori this episode of the SpeakerPODcast!
On Saturday, May 26th-27th, Goodsmile Company held a small exhibit in Akihabara showcasing upcoming products – among them Max Factory’s upcoming 1:20 Scale VF-1 in Gerwalk and Fighter mode, meaning that the SpeakerPODcast Crew was on the scene!
It just so happened that on the same weekend, Megahouse was holding their bi-annual showcase in the area as well. The following is some select pictures we took at both events.

The Goodsmile x Animate Cafe is holding 2 pop-up cafes to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Cowboy Bebop. The cafe’s are located in Akihabara and Osaka and will be open from May 15 to June 10.
