The following photo gallery was taken at the Macross 35th Anniversary Blue Moon Show Case (Jan.9 – Feb.28, 2018) during two separate visits to Tokyo Skytree. Some areas didn’t allow photography, but we documented as much as we could of those that did.

The Macross 35th Anniversary Blue Moon Show Case opened on January 9th at Tokyo Skytree and runs until February 28th. A celebration of all things Macross, the fact that this event is being held at such a major international tourist attraction is a fairly major achievement for the franchise and speaks volumes about its current popularity.
Leiji Future was held on December 3 at Tokyo Culture Center. Originally an annual event, but held a little more sporadically in recent years, Leiji Future is a tribute to all things Leiji Matsumoto. It usually includes sellers of related merchandise, panels, screenings of old tv material, and a sketch & autograph session by the man himself (usually projected on a big screen so attendees can watch him work his magic).
