SPEAKERPODCAST EP.98 – Mazinger Z Infinity

ROCKET PUNCH!!! It’s our first podcast of 2018 and *gasp* has very little to do with Macross?!?

Renato & Gwyn caught Mazinger Z Infinity and sat down in a restaurant afterwards to share some thoughts on it (SPOILERS!) before getting sidetracked by some recent articles doing the rounds on social media that seem to have lost a lot in translation. Oh, and the Mazin Gals! Because one can never have too many Mazin Gals.

Be warned – this podcast contains Mazinger Z Infinity spoilers and too much ambient noise (sorry!).

3×3 Eyes Gengaten

Currently running at Seibu Ikebukuro (Jan.12-Jan.22, 2018), the 3×3 Eyes Gengaten is a fairly extensive exhibit of art from Yuzo Takada’s 3×3 Eyes.

Held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the manga’s serialisation, the exhibit features illustrations from the series’ inception, all the way up to Takada’s most recent work on the franchise in 2016-2017 as well as an all-new original illustration that he put together for the exhibit.

In an unusual move, photography was actually permitted in most parts of the exhibit, so the SpeakerPODcast Crew put together the following gallery.

SPEAKERPODCAST EP.97 – Adrian knerds out.

It’s the final episode of 2017, as Mike joins the SpeakerPODcast Crew to discuss the controversy surrounding tickets for the latest Walkure gig, the fall of Ticket Camp, the latest happenings in Uta Macross and the Deltalk panel at Super Dimension Convention.

Adrian is also apparently shitting VF-2SS toys… and certain Youtubers have noticed!

SPEAKERPODCAST EP.95 -The doctor is region locked!

Dr. Craig Norris joins the SpeakerPODcast Crew on a visit to this year’s Tamashii Nations toy fair. There were a fair few Macross items on display this year, including a YF-19 that might just have a few tricks up its sleeve.

We also discuss the new Macross Delta movie key visual and visit Toho Cinema’s in Ueno to catch Macross Plus and some Macross 7 on the silver screen. All this, plus a new VF-2SS and… Biollante???… on this episode of the SpeakerPODcast!
