SpeakerPODcast EP.80 – Under The Dog

In an attempt to branch off into an anime which has only the most minimal of connections to Macross, the SpeakerPODcast Crew sit down to watch their freshly delivered bluray copies of Under The Dog (and yes, there IS a connection).
Did it succeed in ‘saving’ anime?
Of course, we also cover the latest Macross news as well, and Adrian has an eyewitness account of the debut of the latest Sheryl Nome song in Akihabara.

When this many people gather for a new 90 seconds of animation, it’s safe to say that Macross Frontier’s popularity hasn’t waned.

Timestamps follow the jump.

SpeakerPODcast EP.79 – The Doctor is in! (Yokohama)

Renato and Gwyn grab a table corner in a local coffee shop and sit down with Dr. Craig Norris of the University of Tasmania to talk about all things anime.

For some reason the chat ended up including a lot of Ghost In The Shell, but that can’t be a bad thing… can it?

Yoshitaka Amano Exhibit (2016)

An art exhibit for famed illustrator Yoshitaka Amano, best known for his work on Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D, was held in Tokyo from Jan. 29 to Mar. 8, 2016.

Titled, “Evolving Fantasy”, it differed from most such exhibits in that photography was permitted.

Below is a gallery of photos I managed to snap. Given the exhibit lighting conditions, some were taken at less than ideal angles in an attempt to avoid glare and reflections.
